How do I save my pictures onto my memory card?

My mother took pictures of me, for homecoming. But didn't have her memory card in the camera. So they weren't saved. I looked at the pictures, that are saved onto my camera's nonsaved library trying to figure out a way to copy them onto the memory card (without it inserted). There was this option that said "copy". So I clicked on it, and it said it needed a memory card. I found my mom's memory card that she uses all the time. I put the memory card into the camera. But then couldn't find the homecoming pictures. But when I took the memory card out. In my camera's library I saw my homecoming pictures. Its very weird. I don't know what to do?... My camera is a Fugifilm, Finepix 51500, 10.0 megapixels. If that helps.
