Why did she when I had bladder problems?

My mom used to always yell at me and hit me when I had pretty bad bladder problems. She had a nice line of money but my parents were sort of breaking up then but even after my parents were breaking up she still hit me and yelled at me or just threw things at me. It was sort of tramatizing. I was about 8 and I was afraid to come home from school. Please no negative feed back or jokes and please answer other questions of mine..
