IB extended essay social anthropology ideas?

I have been trying to write my extended essay for the IB Diploma, however I am unable to completely formulate a concrete/good quality thesis. I was planning on focusing on gender roles or leadership within various societies. However, I am completely open to any new ideas. Your help is much appreciated, thank you!
