Can you please give me as much evidence as possible showing how public high schools are better than private?

Please help me!! I need as much info about a public high school would be better for me than i private. I already went one year at my private high school and i HATED it and didnt fit in with anyone there and bearly made any friends while at my public school i fit in perfectly and have made like 40 friends there just from going to like football games and over facebook. So i would really love to go there but i just have to convince my mom. Thanks!
